Spiritual Interviews
I'm pretty psyched about doing these spiritual interviews, especially as I have begun thinking about the particular questions I would like to ask. I want to talk to Mark Royal, Leslie Rowe, Alberto Mendez and Casey Worsham and someone outside of NE (yet to be determined). I want to hear feedback on the importance of followers' perceptions of a leader, proper uses of authority, taking your communities pulse at effectively reaching out to pre-Christians and the importance of intimate friendship -particularly what these individuals have to say on the biblical and spiritual guidance they have received on these topics. These questions will be a great source for the ministry topics assignment where we are suppose to write what we are learning and studying.

Those are all great people, but I wonder if you might know most of their answer pretty well already. I'd like to see you stretch yourself a little more on at least a couple. I'm not sure that Casey and Alberto are the best choices since they have less experience than you in a lot of those areas--though I think talking to them about these things would be great. Beth Smith might have some great insight as well as Ray from ICF.
It seems like you picked a hard project. :)
It's neat though, I think the results from something like this could have a direct effect on some of the ways we do things in our ministry. I'm taking a personal communications class this semester and it's so neat to study the way different people groups approach issues. Even tonight at Whataburger, Joe was talking about the ways to talk to different people groups about religion in order to best communicate with them. I just think you'll probably come up with some really interesting feedback. I'm excited!
